SACHIN : My HERO ready for the second innings

Well the God of Cricket finally steps in and takes oath for Rajya Sabha(Upper house) today. It is to be noted that Little Master was nominated to the Upper House along with evergreen film actress Rekha and industrialist Anu Aga in April, but had to wait to take his oath until the end of IPL season 5. It was a moment of pride for millions of his fans and supporters when Sachin created another feat by becoming the first active sportsperson and cricketer to have been nominated to the Rajya Sabha under the Prominent Citizens Quota(Nomination by the President). Meanwhile his oath-taking as a member of parliament (MP) was a brief affair, which he did in Hindi and in the name of God, but keeping with his star status, the attendant ceremony prolonged a bit longer.

He clearly stated that his priority is just Cricket for now. “…I am here because of my cricketing career. I cannot take any focus away from my cricket. That is where it all started for me. I will focus on my cricket and as and when I stop playing cricket, I don’t know, when I will start attending to other things.” Such a genius and dedicated lover of cricket.
